Custom AI Studio

Let’s build the AI features your site actually needs

Artificial intelligence is not limited to off-the-shelf features. Every site has its own constraints, procedures, risks and objectives.

TimeLapse Go’ has created its AI Studio, an R&D unit dedicated to building custom artificial intelligence models for the construction, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Our goal is simple: turn your images into usable data and automate the supervision tasks that currently consume human time.

Our strength: full control of the value chain

An approach that starts with your needs

Before any development work, our teams carry out a functional audit of your project to pinpoint the AI features that will have a concrete impact on your operations.

We don’t offer AI for the sake of AI, but tools that are useful, measurable and quick to pay off.

What we analyse

  • repetitive operations that can be automated
  • information collected manually
  • your business processes
  • operational risks to be detected
  • indicators to be tracked automatically
  • expected return on investment

Unique expertise in the construction industry

For several years, our systems have been photographing construction sites across Europe.

Every day they produce hundreds of thousands of images of:

buildings, civil engineering structures, infrastructure, utility networks, industrial sites, solar power plants, logistics facilities, railway works, port areas and many other complex environments.

That experience now represents an exceptional knowledge base.

Hundreds of thousands of images every day, cover

  • a range of weather conditions
  • all seasons
  • protective equipment
  • personnel
  • hazardous situations and incidents
  • day and night
  • all types of machinery
  • vehicles
  • materials
  • construction phases

This data forms a particularly effective training base for developing specialised models.

Very high quality datasets

The performance of an AI system depends above all on the quality of its training data.
Unlike generic models, we work with datasets taken from real construction sites.
Our teams carry out extensive qualification and annotation work in order to train models capable of accurately recognising the elements that matter to you.
This control over the data delivers levels of reliability far above generic approaches.

AI built for real-world site conditions

A construction site is not a laboratory.
Images are captured in the rain, in bright sunlight, in dust, sometimes at night, with machinery obscuring people or in poor visibility.
Our models are developed to work in these real-world environments.
They take into account the constraints specific to the construction sector and are continuously improved using data from new projects.

From prototype to operational deployment

The AI Studio supports every project from start to finish:

1Feasibility study
2Defining the objectives
3Building the datasets
4Annotation
5Model training
6Performance validation
7Integration into the platform
8Deployment across your sites
9Monitoring & continuous improvement

You get a fully integrated solution, with no need to coordinate several suppliers.

AI that fits the way you work

Every development project addresses a specific operational need.

Depending on the project, models can be developed exclusively for your organisation, or added to our platform’s features when their value is shared by all our clients.

Our approach is collaborative: you bring your industry expertise, we bring ours in artificial intelligence and computer vision.

Examples of developments delivered by our AI Studio

Case 1 – Offshore wind farm

Visibility analysis for an offshore wind farm

To monitor the visual impact of an offshore wind farm, we developed a visual analysis system that assesses how visible the installations are from the coast, twenty-four hours a day, according to:

weather conditions
light levels
distances
viewing angles

This provides objective data to support the project’s environmental and public acceptance objectives.

Case 2 – Optimising industrial flows

Movement analysis on industrial sites

On a complex industrial site, our visual analysis tools were used to study the movements of teams and machinery in order to identify:

high-risk areas
dangerous crossing points
wasted time
potential flow optimisations

The aim: improving safety and operational productivity at the same time.
