1 minute to understand timelapse by TimeLapse Go’.
Cinema and video are based on the phenomenon of retinal persistence of images. When we watch images scroll by, they remain engraved in our retinas for a few moments, so when we scroll 24 images per second, we get an impression of fluidity. So a camera actually takes 24 photos per second, to produce a fluid film at real speed.
If you take more than 24 frames per second, 48 for example, and then play them back at 24 fps, you’ll have a slow motion, twice as slow but still perfectly fluid. Timelapse does the opposite. We can take one photo per second, per minute or even per hour, and if we then stitch them together at 24 images per second, we obtain an accelerated effect, more or less pronounced depending on the spacing of the shots.
To make a timelapse, we need photos taken at regular intervals. When these are taken automatically or programmed, we call it chronophotography.
TimeLapse Go’ technology lets you program and change the frequency and time slots of remote shots.

Our R&D department is constantly working to optimize and facilitate the creation of breathtaking timelapses at the best possible price.
A great time lapse is all about great photos. That’s why we’ve forged a privileged partnership with Nikon France, the exclusive supplier of our cameras. We use reliable, high-quality D3500 series 24.2-megapixel SLR cameras. And a full range of DX Nikkor lenses, from 10mm to 110mm. On request, we can also offer you full-format Nikon SLRs and take Raw shots.
This is the key to the success of a great timelapse. This operation is always carried out by our editors. They are assisted by special software that selects only the shots that can be used, but the final choice remains that of our specialists, with innovation at the service of human talent.
Our editors use super-powerful machines and software to work, correct, calibrate, stabilize and assemble thousands of images simultaneously, even in 4K.
